«Esordienti da spennare» is Silvia Ognibene's practical guide for novice writers, published by Terre di Mezzo in paperback (144 pages, in Italian).
The work analyses paid publishing, in which some publishers charge novice writers to publish books that almost never reach bookshops. Through interviews and analysis, it distinguishes these abusive practices from serious small publishers that bet on new talent, and offers guidelines for understanding the market and defending author rights when publishing a first work.
The book was published on 30 September 2003.
A work for aspiring writers who want to understand the publishing market and avoid abuses when publishing their first book.
