«Esencia prejurídica del derecho» is the philosophical-legal essay by Pompeyo Ramis, published by the Universidad de Los Andes in paperback (174 pp.).
It starts from the question of what precedes the legal norm: philosophical, ethical and social presuppositions that give meaning to law. Pompeyo Ramis analyses the relationship between the pre-legal and the legal, and how these bases condition the validity and interpretation of norms. A work on legal philosophy focused on its conceptual foundations.
Published in Mérida (Venezuela) in 2002 by the Academic Vice-Rectorate of the Universidad de Los Andes. Dewey classification 340/.1 and LC K339.R36 2002; includes bibliographical references (p. 171).
Aimed at law students and professionals, and at readers interested in legal philosophy and the conceptual foundations of the norm.
