The work surveys the Burgos monastery of San Pedro de Cardeña and its artistic heritage, from the building's origins to the present day. The detailed tour includes the exterior and interior of the church, chapels, cloisters, the guesthouse and other parts of the complex, with attention to history and works such as the frescoes by Juan Vallejo.

The book appeared in 2016 and features photographs by Javier Chávez Gil and coordination by Patricia Barbero Santamaría. It includes more than 350 colour images.
