«El lid, fórmula inicial de la noticia» is the journalism essay by Petra María Secanella, published by A.T.E. in paperback (128 pages, in Spanish).
The work studies the lead, the opening paragraph of a news story, as a fundamental piece of informative journalism. It analyses its definition and functions, and reviews the formulas for writing it, paying attention to how that first paragraph conditions the rest of the journalistic text.
Published in Barcelona in 1980 within the Textos de Periodismo collection, it closes with a bibliography on pages 127-128.
It is aimed at journalism students and professionals who want to review the fundamentals of news writing.
