Synopsis of El doblaje

«El doblaje» is Alejandro Ávila's essay on film dubbing, published by Ediciones Cátedra in paperback (168 pages, in Spanish).

Study of dubbing in two parts: a theoretical one on its definition, types, history and the profile of the dubbing actor, and a practical one with exercises and instructions for learning to dub. The work is completed by historical, artistic, technical, legal and social aspects and a brief dictionary of dubbing.

Second edition (2005) in the Signo e Imagen collection; the work was originally published in 1997.

It is aimed at students of audiovisual communication, dubbing actors and industry professionals, as well as those interested in cinema.
