In "El cielo de Lima", Juan Gómez Bárcena transports us to 1904, where two young Peruvians, with the desire to obtain books signed by Juan Ramón Jiménez, conceive a literary deception. Under the mask of Georgina Hübner, an imaginary girl, they begin a correspondence with the famous writer, unleashing an epistolary romance that becomes an obsession for Jiménez and culminates in a tragic ending. The novel follows the steps of these dilettante youths in their creation of the perfect muse, from bohemian environments to brothels and workers' revolts, reaching the heart of the poet. Originally published in 2014, this work has been translated into several languages and has received the Ojo Crítico de Narrativa Award and the Ciudad de Alcalá de Narrativa Award.
