«Die Medizinfrau» is the autobiographical initiatory account by Lynn V. Andrews, published by Ansata in hardback (230 pages, in German).
Lynn V. Andrews narrates in the first person how the search for a wedding basket leads her into the Manitoba wilderness and the Cree culture. The commission becomes an initiatory journey: encounters, rituals and teachings that lead her to explore the spirituality, mythology and worldview of the indigenous peoples of North America.
Original work: «Medicine Woman» (1980). This German edition, published in 1983, bears the subtitle «Der Einweihungsweg einer weissen Schamanin» and opens the «Medicine Woman» series.
A read for those interested in spirituality, shamanic traditions and indigenous cultures, with an autobiographical and personal-growth focus.
