«Diarios del CO2: 2015» is the young adult science fiction novel by Saci Lloyd, published by EDICIONES SM in paperback (296 pages, in Spanish).
In 2015, after a global ecological disaster, Britain imposes restrictions on CO2 use. Laura, a modern young woman, recounts in her diary how her life is turned upside down by the new energy-saving system and by the natural disasters caused by global warming. The novel combines a relaxed tone with a fantasy very close to a possible reality, and addresses ecology, environmental education, friendship and love.
It belongs to the Alerta roja collection, number 87. Translation by Ricardo García Pérez. Original work in English, published in Spain on 2 September 2011.
Recommended for young readers aged 13 to 18 interested in near-future science fiction and stories with ecological awareness.
