«Dans l'enfer de l'Opus Dei» is the autobiography of Véronique Duborgel, published by Albin Michel (184 pages, in French).
Véronique Duborgel recounts her thirteen years in Opus Dei and describes a discipline of absolute obedience, fraternal corrections, mortifications and penance. Her testimony shows the institution's closed hierarchy and the mechanisms of control she experienced until she decided to leave it in March 1996.
Published in 2007. A work of non-fiction, framed in the genre of testimonial literature; Opus Dei was founded by Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer.
For readers interested in testimonies about religious institutions and in the history of Opus Dei.
