In Batalay a singular foal is born: it navigates by looking at the stars, understands human language, and only obeys the young Grígor. When the usurer Pávirich kidnaps it to take it to a circus, Grígor sets out to rescue it. Together they escape and help those in need, in an adventure about loyalty and friendship.
It belongs to the El Barco de Vapor Naranja collection, number 52, with illustrations by Ana Varela. Winner of the El Barco de Vapor Prize in 1987.
Recommended for readers aged 6 to 9, especially for those seeking animal tales, fantasy, and friendship.
