Biography of Salvador Dalí focused on the passions that marked his life and art: sex, money, fame and a morbid fascination with death. It traces his evolution between 1921 and 1983, reinterprets some of his paintings through his writings and applies the motivational theories of Freud and Otto Rank, which influenced his thinking.
Translated from German by Fiona Elliott, in Prestel's Pegasus series; includes bibliographic references.
For those interested in Salvador Dalí, Surrealism and art history, and for anyone wanting to know the artist through his obsessions.
