«Colón a los ojos de Beatriz» is the historical novel by Pedro Piqueras, published by Martínez Roca in hardback (222 pages, in Spanish).
The story approaches Beatriz Enríquez de Arana, lover of Christopher Columbus and mother of his son Hernando, a figure about whom little data survives. With the support of historical sources, Pedro Piqueras recreates her character, the atmosphere of the era, and an image of the navigator seen from the closeness of someone who knew him.
The work is part of the Historical Novel Collection and corresponds to the second edition, published in 2000.
It will interest readers of historical fiction and those who want to know a female perspective on the life of Christopher Columbus.
