Cleopatra. Ni embaucadora, ni cruel. La reina estratega

Synopsis of Cleopatra. Ni embaucadora, ni cruel. La reina estratega

«Cleopatra. Ni embaucadora, ni cruel. La reina estratega» is the biography of Cleopatra by Ariadna Castellarnau (RBA, hardback, 189 pages, in Spanish).

The book reclaims the figure of Cleopatra as a powerful and intelligent ruler, far from the image of a trickster or cruel queen spread by myths. It analyses her role as a political strategist, her ambition and the decisions that marked her reign, as well as her ideal of a multicultural empire and her death for her people.

Its original edition dates from 2020 and opens the Mujeres Poderosas collection, of which it is the first volume.

For those interested in the history of Egypt and the lives of powerful women in Antiquity.
