«Aníbal de Cartago» is the biographical essay by historian Pedro Barceló, published by Alianza Editorial in paperback (248 pages, in Spanish).
The work reconstructs the biography of Hannibal Barca, the Carthaginian general who proposed an alternative project to Rome's expansion, and analyses how hostile Roman sources and legend have conditioned his historical image. Pedro Barceló addresses the Hispanic dimension of his career, often ignored in other studies.
It was published in April 2004 and belongs to number 4187 of the El Libro de Bolsillo - Historia collection.
Aimed at those who enjoy the ancient history of Rome and Carthage and biographies of great military strategists.
