«América en Extremadura» is the essay by Francisco Javier Pizarro Gómez, published by the Diputación de Badajoz in hardback (264 pages, in Spanish).
It analyses how Ibero-American culture is reflected in the art and heritage of Extremadura, with special attention to the legacy of the tornaviaje and cultural exchange in the Atlantic context. The journey, documented and with abundant visual material, shows the American imprint on works and images preserved in Extremadura.
It is part of the Colección rescate, number 14, in its first edition, published in Spain in 2021.
For those interested in art history, Extremaduran heritage and cultural relations between Spain and Ibero-America.
