«俗界富士» is a photography book by Shinya Fujiwara, published by Shinchosha in hardback (68 pages, in Japanese).
The book brings together photographs of Mount Fuji from a perspective that seeks to renew the established idea of «Fuji photography»: the volcano appears integrated into everyday scenes and seasonal landscapes, as the cover anticipates, with a garden of azaleas, strollers and the snow-capped summit under a night sky. It was presented as a real vision of the mountain never seen before.
It was published on 30 January 2000; large-format Japanese edition (JP Oversized). In English it is cited as Worldly Fuji.
A title for fans of landscape photography and Japanese visual culture around Mount Fuji.
