«The Circle Recordings» is the jazz compilation by Luckey Roberts and Ralph Sutton, released in 1995 by Solo Art, on CD.
The compilation brings together pianists Luckey Roberts and Ralph Sutton in a programme of ragtime and stride, two essential styles of early 20th-century jazz. The recordings showcase the technique and vitality of both performers: virtuoso passages, syncopated rhythms and a musical conversation between two ways of understanding classic American piano.
US edition on CD of one disc, released by Solo Art in 1995; catalogue number SACD-10.
For fans of classic jazz and collectors of stride piano and ragtime, interested in historic recordings by great performers.
