«Speak No Evil» is the jazz album by Wayne Shorter, released in 1999 by Blue Note Records on CD.
Wayne Shorter, on tenor sax, leads a quintet with Freddie Hubbard, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Elvin Jones on this jazz album. The six original compositions, including «Witch Hunt», «Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum» and the title track, combine the solidity of hard bop with a melodic and evocative atmosphere; it closes with an alternate take of «Dance Cadaverous».
Recorded on 24 December 1964 at Van Gelder Studio; this edition remastered by Rudy Van Gelder consists of a CD with seven tracks and 48 minutes in length.
For fans of post-bop jazz and historical Blue Note remasters.
