«Die Kunst Der Fuge» is the album on which André Isoir performs the work of the same name by Johann Sebastian Bach, released in 2015 by La Dolce Volta on CD.
The Art of Fugue is one of the summits of Baroque counterpoint: a cycle of fugues and canons built on a single theme, whose writing Johann Sebastian Bach left unfinished. André Isoir approaches it on the organ with a reflective focus, polyphonic clarity and a rhythmic drive that keeps the tension of each voice alive.
The release of this audio CD edition, with a single disc, took place on 21 April 2015 within the La Dolce Volta catalogue.
For those seeking an organ version of The Art of Fugue and who appreciate Baroque music and counterpoint.
