«Cactus Brothers» is the self-titled debut album by American country band The Cactus Brothers, released on CD by Liberty in 1993.
The album combines progressive country and bluegrass with an energetic roots sound. Its twelve tracks range between traditional and contemporary country, and include cuts like 'Sixteen Tons', 'Crazy Heart' and 'Fisher's Hornpipe'.
Lyrics are in English; the cover mixes Western iconography (cactus, snake, ox skull, buffaloes) with a black-hatted cowboy and a third eye.
Will appeal to fans of alternative country, bluegrass and American roots music.
