«Wii Sports» is Nintendo's sports game for Wii, released in 2006.
It brings together five sports —tennis, baseball, bowling, golf and boxing— in which the player imitates real gestures with the Wii Remote. Each discipline offers simplified rules and short matches, and supports up to four players on the same TV, taking turns or in teams. The lack of a steep learning curve makes it a gateway to motion gaming.
Published by Nintendo on 19 November 2006, it is localised in Spanish, English, French, German, Italian and Dutch.
Aimed at players of all ages, it is an option for local multiplayer sessions with family or friends.
