«Chine: Intrigue dans la Cité Interdite» is the historical adventure game by Cryo Interactive for PlayStation (PS1).
The game is set in imperial China in 1775, where a court investigator must solve the death of a high dignitary in the Forbidden City at the emperor's request. It is a first-person point-and-click adventure: exploring palaces and gardens allows unravelling a web of court conspiracies, with marked historical and cultural rigour.
This is the French edition in PAL format, released in 1999. The Réunion des Musées Nationaux collaborated on the production.
Suitable for those who enjoy historical point-and-click adventures. The cultural rigour and palatial setting make this title an educational experience.
