«Zulu» is the war film by Cyril Endfield (1964), starring Stanley Baker, Michael Caine and Jack Hawkins, on VHS.
It recounts the defence of Rorke's Drift during the Anglo-Zulu War of 1879: about a hundred British soldiers of the South Wales Borderers resist the assault of thousands of Zulu warriors. Based on a real episode, it combines war action with a story of courage and honour, and includes Michael Caine in one of his first notable roles.
Original version in English and Zulu; PAL system.
Will appeal to fans of classic war films and historical stories of resistance.
