«Un dîner intime» is the television recording of a French stage play directed by Pierre Sabbagh, with Jacques Balutin, Martine Kelly and Roger Mirmont, on DVD (2004).
Roger, a bachelor, invites Solange, his best friend's wife, to dinner with the intention of seducing her. The evening is planned in detail, with wine and foie gras, but the encounter never quite gets going and gives rise to comic dialogues typical of French humour and farce theatre. The action focuses on that date for two and on what happens between the prepared and the unexpected.
Written by Yves Chatelain and directed by Robert Manuel, it is part of the series «Au théâtre ce soir». Audio in French (Dolby Digital 2.0 mono), running time 100 min, image 1.33:1 and region 2.
For fans of classic French theatre and television recordings of «Au théâtre ce soir».
