«Tierra» is the 1996 film by Julio Medem, starring Carmelo Gómez, Emma Suárez and Karra Elejalde, on DVD.
Ángel, a fumigator recently released from a psychiatric centre, arrives in a region of red hills to eliminate the plague of scale insects that spoils the wine's taste with an earthy note. In the village he is drawn to two opposing women, Mari and Ángela, while a voice from the cosmos intensifies his split between the earthly and the celestial, the sane and the absurd.
