«The Inspector General / The Pied Piper of Hamelin» is a double-feature DVD with two musical films: one starring Danny Kaye and one starring Van Johnson.
In 'The Inspector General' (an adaptation of Nikolai Gogol's satire), Danny Kaye plays a peddler mistaken for an inspector. In 'The Pied Piper of Hamelin', Van Johnson plays the piper who rids the town of rats and, when unpaid, leads away the children; the film includes music by Edvard Grieg.
Both films are presented in NTSC and colour, running 78 and 87 minutes. The edition includes digital remastering, interactive menus and scene selection.
For fans of classic and musical cinema and for family viewing.
