«The Exorcism of Emily Rose» is a supernatural horror film released in 2005, distributed by Screen Gems on DVD.
The story centres on the trial of a priest accused of negligence after Emily Rose, a young woman he was trying to free from demonic possession, died during an exorcism. The proceedings pit the religious interpretation of events against the scientific and medical explanation, leaving the question of the origin of the facts open.
Aimed at those who enjoy supernatural horror and courtroom dramas that raise dilemmas between faith and reason.
