Twenty years after the original, Mark Renton returns to Edinburgh and reunites with his old friends Spud, Sick Boy, and Begbie. However, the world has changed, and old problems resurface, leading them to confront their inner demons and the temptations of the past. Directed by Danny Boyle and starring Ewan McGregor, Robert Carlyle, Jonny Lee Miller, and Ewen Bremner, this sequel offers a nostalgic and raw look at friendship, addiction, and the search for identity in adulthood.
