«Quiero Tener Una Ferretería En Andalucía» is the documentary film by Carles Prats (2011), with Joe Strummer, Jesús Arias and Gabriel Contreras, on DVD.
Joe Strummer, leader of The Clash, left England to settle in Granada and Almería, where he wanted to open a hardware shop and live far from rock. The documentary gathers testimonies about how the sisters Paloma and Esperanza brought him closer to Andalusian culture and how that 'sociable Englishman' ended up speaking broken Spanish, with García Lorca in the background.
It runs 77 minutes and offers audio in Spanish and English, with subtitles in Spanish and English; rated suitable for all audiences.
It is aimed at followers of Joe Strummer and The Clash and fans of music documentaries focused on everyday life.
