«Man on Wire» is the 2008 documentary by James Marsh about tightrope walker Philippe Petit, on DVD.
In 1974, French tightrope walker Philippe Petit crossed on a cable between the towers of the World Trade Center in New York, without a net or harness. The documentary shows how he and his team secretly planned that illegal crossing, with interviews, archive footage and re-enactments that recreate the tension of the 'artistic crime of the century'.
The DVD is region 2 and includes audio in English (Dolby Digital 2.0 and 5.1, DTS 5.1) with English subtitles. British classification: 12.
