«L'école des maris» is the film by Stéphane Bertin that shoots Molière's comedy at the Comédie-Française, on DVD.
The play, a comedy in three acts, contrasts two models of education and marriage through two brothers who act as guardians to two sisters: one imposes strict control and the other trusts in freedom, with entanglements and misunderstandings that criticise the morality of their time.
Performance by the Comédie-Française with stage direction by Thierry Hancisse, directed by Stéphane Bertin. Edition published by Éditions Montparnasse in the original French version.
For lovers of French classical theatre and Molière's dramatic literature.
