La guerra lampo dei Fratelli Marx

Synopsis of La guerra lampo dei Fratelli Marx

«La guerra lampo dei Fratelli Marx» is the film directed by Leo McCarey (1933), starring Groucho, Harpo and Chico Marx, on DVD.

Classic comedy that satirises politics and war: the incompetent and eccentric Rufus T. Firefly is appointed prime minister of Freedonia, and his clumsiness drags the country into an absurd conflict with neighbouring Sylvania. The Marx Brothers deploy their anarchic humour, with fast-paced dialogue and zany situations that ridicule diplomacy, nationalism and power.

Italian edition from Universal Pictures on DVD, part of the I Fratelli Marx collection. One disc, black-and-white film, 66 minutes running time, subtitles in Spanish and English, and region 2.

For fans of classic cinema and satirical comedy, especially those following the Marx Brothers' filmography.
