«La culpa fue de Eva» is the 1959 film by Steno, starring Totò, Louis de Funès and Abbe Lane, on DVD.
In this Italian farce, a swindler nicknamed the Marquis leaves prison and, with Eva posing as his wife, plots a fraud: commissioning a copyist, Totò, to plagiarise a Goya painting as the non-existent «La maja con el camisón». The art expert played by Louis de Funès falls for the trick.
Black and white, with audio in Italian and Spanish (Dolby Digital 2.0 mono) and Spanish subtitles. Running time: 99 minutes, 1 disc.
For fans of classic European cinema and art scams, featuring Totò and Louis de Funès.
