In 1944, during World War II, a small, outnumbered squad of American GIs is tasked with holding a position against German forces along the Siegfried Line. With limited resources, they must rely on their ingenuity and grit to trick the Germans into believing they are a much larger Allied task force while they wait for reinforcements to arrive. Directed by Don Siegel and starring Steve McQueen, this taut, explosive war film is a classic exploration of courage and tactical deception under fire.
