«Full Metal Jacket» is Stanley Kubrick's 1987 film, starring Matthew Modine, Adam Baldwin and Vincent D'Onofrio, on HD DVD.
Marine Corps recruits go from a brutal training camp, under a sergeant's ferocious discipline, to urban combat in Huế during the Vietnam War. Kubrick shows the dehumanisation of soldiers and the absurdity of war with corrosive humour and a relentless gaze.
