Lupicinio Murga, a distinguished member of the civil service, passes away on a sunny spring day. The wake, held in his own home, becomes a meeting point for a multitude of characters from various social strata. This amusing film, starring Tony Leblanc, is considered by Berlanga to be one of the origins of black comedy in Spain. This DVD edition includes the short film "Hommage à trois" (Fernando Trueba, 1979).
