Halley Martin, 17, believes love only brings trouble: her mother is bitter about her divorce, her sister argues endlessly with her husband, her best friend is inseparable from her boyfriend, and her father, a radio DJ, dates a much younger girl. When Macon appears, a boy who values her friendship, Halley begins to question her theory.
