The Founder is a drama film that tells the story of Ray Kroc, an Illinois salesman who stumbles upon brothers Mac and Dick McDonald, who run a successful burger operation in southern California. Kroc is impressed by the brothers' efficient system and sees the potential to franchise the restaurant. Thus, Kroc maneuvers himself into a position to eventually wrest the company from the brothers and create a billion-dollar empire that is known today as McDonald's.
