«El 7º de Caballería» is the 1965 film by Herbert Martin, starring Edmund Purdom, Eduardo Fajardo and Mónica Randall, on DVD.
In 1863, during the American Civil War, a group of Confederate soldiers regroups in Texas with the intention of crossing into Mexico to join Maximilian. To achieve this, they need to take Chesapeake Pass, defended by the Union's Seventh Cavalry. A Southern commander makes a pact with the Indian chief Wild Horse to attack a settlement, forcing the Federals to abandon the fort, but the Seventh Cavalry discovers the plan and prepares for battle.
