«Deseando amar» is the film by Wong Kar-Wai starring Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung, on DVD.
In 1960s Hong Kong, two married neighbours discover that their spouses are having an affair. When they meet alone, they share loneliness and temptation, but restrain their feelings and love is never consummated. The story is built with measured gestures, silences and a melancholic atmosphere: contained desire and loyalty.
